Frontier Airlines Becomes First Airline to Connect Denver to the Sunny Beaches of Jacksonville with Non-Stop Daily Service
Frontier Welcomes Northeast Florida Travelers With Special Introductory Fares as Low as US$99*
DENVER, March 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT) today announced it will launch daily non-stop service between its Denver International Airport (DEN) hub and Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) beginning June 15, 2007. Prior to Frontier's new service, Jacksonville was the largest U.S. market without direct, non-stop service from Denver. In addition to Frontier's new service to Jacksonville, Frontier currently flies non-stop from Denver to four other Florida cities -- Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Tampa and Orlando.
Passengers aboard flights between Denver and Jacksonville will enjoy the comfort and convenience of Frontier's new Airbus A319 aircraft, with 33 inches of legroom as well as 24 channels of DIRECTV® service and a choice of three pay-per-view movies in every seatback.
From Denver, travelers can make convenient connections to Frontier cities throughout the western United States. With Frontier's early morning departure from Jacksonville, passengers can be in Denver for a full day of business and leisure activities around the Mile High City -- or they can be in Colorado's High Country by mid-day to enjoy everything the Rocky Mountains have to offer.
"On behalf of the Jacksonville Aviation Authority, I'd like to welcome Frontier Airlines to Jacksonville International Airport for what I believe will be the beginning of a great relationship for both Jacksonville and Denver travelers," said John D. Clark, executive director of the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. "Jacksonville and Denver are both dynamic cities in which to live, work and play, with engaging cultural and leisure activities, and healthy business environments. The connections Frontier provides through its Denver hub will undoubtedly lead to some exciting Western adventures for residents of Northeast Florida."
"We are proud to be the first airline to offer non-stop, direct daily service between Denver and Jacksonville, and we look forward to serving our new passengers with our comfortable aircraft, superior service, consistent on- time departures and arrivals, and in-flight entertainment," said John Happ, senior vice president of marketing and planning for Frontier. "Frontier welcomes Jacksonville passengers to the Mile High City and the Rocky Mountain west, and we know passengers flying out of Denver will enjoy having another warm weather travel option on Frontier, as we're now serving nearly 20 coastal destinations in Florida, California and Mexico."
To celebrate the new Jacksonville service, Frontier will offer special introductory fares as low as US$99*. All fares are one-way with round-trip purchase required, and must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. MDT, April 18, 2007.
